Last week my husband made candied orange peels (candied with honey [affiliate link] for a holiday bread recipe) to save me the time from having to do it. He cut the peels from the oranges, and placed the oranges in the freezer.
Our son Matthew saw the oranges and wondered if they would be good in a smoothie. We put two frozen whole (peeled) oranges into the Vitamix with some water, ice and a dozen grapes. Blended on high and wow! This quick recipe is light and refreshing and super tasty.
If you want to add some protein, feel free to add one tablespoon of Collagen Hydrolysate Gelatin (affiliate link) – this is the kind that blends easily into cold ingredients without clumping.
