Cara explains why she is offering the sale for the month of April:
Why the sale? Because the GAPS Diet, specifically the intro diet, has been hands down the most effective thing we have tried for my daughter’s autism. I want to help you help your family!
Autism Affecting More Children
Autism is affecting more children each year. From emedtv.com:
“Experts estimate that two to six children out of every 1,000 will have autism. Males are four times more likely to have autism than females. Therefore, it can be summarized that between 1 in 500 (2/1,000) to 1 in 166 children (6/1,000) have autism. There is not a full population count of all individuals with autism in the United States. However, using the occurrence data stated above, we can estimate that if 4 million children are born in the United States every year, approximately 24,000 of these children will eventually be diagnosed with autism.”
There Is a Cure!
Many believe there is no cure for autism, but those of us who know about GAPS know there is a way to help these children. And the sooner you begin the GAPS diet, the higher your chances are for recovering your child. Please do not wait until you get an “official” diagnosis. If you see the signs, please begin helping your child! GAPS may look intimidating at first, but once you have read Dr. Natasha's book you will be full of hope and eager to get started.
Signs and Symptoms of Autism
One of the major signs as I understand it is your child will have digestive problems. From Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride's book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome: Natural Treatment for Autism, Dyspraxia, A.D.D., Dyslexia, A.D.H.D., Depression, Schizophrenia she says:
“GAPS children and adults have digestive problems, sometimes quite severe. Colic, bloating, flatulence, diarrhoea, constipation, feeding difficulties and malnourishment, all to various degrees, are a typical part of autism, schizophrenia and other GAPS conditions. Doctors often explain these symptoms as a result of the patient's “funny” feeding habits and are not inclined to investigate them.”
“In many cases parents clearly remember that the diarrhoea or constipation started in the second year, but thinking back would recall that their child had colic, vomiting (reflux) or other digestive symptoms in the first year as well.”
The sooner you begin to help your child, the sooner you can recover your child. Yes, fully recover. When you read Dr. Natasha's book it will make so much sense as to why the autism affects as it does. It is a gut/mind connection.
Here is Dr. Natasha's story of recovering her son, story written in 2003: My Son.
I have also interviewed several parents who are doing GAPS to recover their child from autism on my Blog Talk Radio show:
