I am a frugal person, and I definitely love bargains! I am also strongly committed to supporting small businesses, and it's an even bigger win, in my opinion, when the small business sells natural products.
These bonus products were offered in the Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle in September 2016. The bundle sale is over but you can click here to add your name to my special mailing list to be notified when the next Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle is available.
As an author contributor (my e-book Mastering the Art of Baking with Coconut Flour is in this bundle) I had early access to the bonus items, and I have to tell you, it was like Christmas around here for a few days, with all the cool natural products showing up at the door.
As you can see in the photo above, it was quite a haul!
I'm going to share shipping costs if I know them, for some items I ended up buying more products rather than only getting the free item. I am in the United States, so shipping may vary by location. Some products are available internationally, so shipping prices may be more for outside the U.S.
I'll start with my favorite product, and also one of my new favorite small businesses! I actually learned about MadeOn Lotion and the owner, Renee Harris during a giveaway from another blogger. I got a free stick of Au Chocolat Hard Lotion and I was hooked! Renee sells natural skin care products, goat milk soaps, lip balms and even has a series of e-books to teach you how to make your own products.
MadeOn Lotion Free Bee Cool Muscle Balm & Natural Lip Balm Combo ($15.25 value)
Shipping was $5.
Renee created a brand new product for this year's Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle. It's called Bee Cool, and it is provides quick relief for sore muscles. It is easy to apply, since it comes in a stick and begins to provide relief within seconds of applying. I have been experiencing some pain in my left hand in my knuckles and decided to try it and the pain completely went away! I am super curious to know how this works! I have used products like Tiger Balm and other popular muscle balm in the past, but you have to stick your finger into the product and rub it on with your fingers. Now your fingers have this “cooling” product on them, and heaven help you if you touch any sensitive part of your body, like your eyes. Yeowch!
The idea to use a stick is genius, in my opinion. It's super simple to apply, just twist the tube and rub on.
Orglamix FREE Eye Shadow Trio ($18 value)
Shipping is estimated to be $5 to $6.99 (and may vary by location) for shipping in the United States.
Next up, the Eye Shadow Trio from Orglamix. I don't normally wear makeup, partially because I want to use something safe, and haven't known who to buy from.
So I jumped on the opportunity to get this eye shadow and I also bought some mascara. I haven't actually had a chance to use this eye shadow because I don't have an applicator. It doesn't come with one, so you might want to pick up a package if you don't already have them on hand. I chose the Neutral Kit which includes Cafe Au Lait, Sweet Pea, and Sandalwood. These eye shadows are formulated WITHOUT parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petro-chemicals or phthalates.
I also asked Cheri about the shelf life for her products. She said that since the eye shadows are pure mineral makeup, they will last almost indefinitely as they really can't grow bacteria – as long as you use the product as recommended, which is to tap product into the top of the jar, then scoop up with the applicator from the lid, rather than dipping the applicator into the container. The mascara has a shelf life of three months.
Dirty Mouth Toothpowder by Primal Life Organics ($15.97 value)
Shipping for this item was $2.95.
I have never used toothpowder, so was really interested to try this product. I selected the Peppermint and it leaves a strong minty flavor in my mouth. It comes with a wooden applicator, which I eventually found in the jar. I did learn that it's not a good idea to put my wet toothbrush over the jar as some water dripped into the toothpowder. The drops of water turned into little globs of clay, but by the next day they were dried so it didn't seem to be a problem, although I now know to avoid doing that in the future.
I like how my teeth feel after using this toothpowder, I noticed they have a really clean feeling, like I just had my teeth cleaned.
Get Kombucha Liquid Probiotics ($29.99 value) and/or Get Kombucha's Custom Organic Tea Blend ($15.99 value)
Shipping was $8.95 for each item, so $17.90 if you end up getting both.
Get Kombucha is giving us the option to get one or both of these products, free. I got both. The Kombucha tea is an organic custom blend, and I have not tried it yet. It will make 15 cups of tea. The Kombucha extract is 15ml and considered to be a 15 day supply. I have made my own Kombucha in the past, but got out of the habit, so it has been nice to have the extract sitting on the counter to use each day. I am curious about the tea, so I need to look into that a little further. For example, I'm curious if the bacterial benefit is still there, since usually when you make tea, you use hot water.
NEW Customers: 64 ounces of Liquid Laundry Detergent + Fabric Softener Free with $20 purchase, plus free 60 Day VIP Trial & Free Shipping ($32.66 value)
EXISTING Customers: Free 1 year VIP Membership $39.95 value

If you are a new customer, you get a 64 load bottle of Mrs. Meyer's Liquid Laundry Detergent, and Mrs. Meyer's Fabric Softener, free. There is a variety of scents, I chose Honeysuckle. Now, you also have to buy $20 worth of products, and Grove Collaborative makes this very easy as they automatically add products to your cart that amount to around $20. I ended up changing a few things, and ended up with the following in addition to the laundry detergent and fabric softener:
- Seventh Generation Toilet Bowl Cleaner
- Mrs. Meyers Dish Soap
- Mrs. Meyers Hand Soap
- Method Toilet Cleaner
- Bon Ami Powder Cleanser
- Seventh Generation Natural Stain Remover Spray
Grove also gives you a free 60 day VIP membership as a new customer.
These products cost me $22.44.
I have been using the laundry detergent, and I have to admit it's nice to have a light scent to my clothing. I have also been using the dish soap, and hand soap, and I tried the Seventh Generation Toilet Bowl Cleaner. I remember Bon Ami from my childhood!
Since Grove gives you a 60 day membership, there is the need to consider continuing the membership, which costs $39.99 per year. I need to take a look around Grove Collaborative's site and see what else I would use, to see if it will be beneficial for me to continue the membership.
Perfect Brand Supplements $15 Gift Certificate
Shipping was $5.95 for the product that I chose to buy.
The Perfect Brand Supplements offer is a $15 gift certificate toward any Perfect Brand product. I decided on the Hydrolyzed Collagen because I have been wanting to buy some for the longest time. It's expensive though, so I have been waiting until I found a good deal that I couldn't resist. The container I bought has 60 servings, and cost $38.95, so it was $23.95 after the $15 gift certificate.
I have been using the Hydrolyzed Collagen almost every single day since it arrived. It is so neat to be able to put it into a cold smoothie and it doesn't end up jelling.
This appears to be a very high quality product which it is produces from grass fed beef, and is rBGH-free and Non-GMO.
Trilight Health $15 Gift Certificate toward select products
Shipping was free for the product I purchased.
I decided to get the 8 ounce bottle of Tummy Plus for Stomach Problems. The cost was $39.95 and after the $15 Gift Certificate it was $24.95. I haven't used this product yet but thought it would be good to have on hand, just in case as my husband sometimes has indigestion.
Organic Gelatinized Yellow Maca Powder ($15.44 value)
I also purchased the Organic Gelatinized Yellow Maca Powder valued at $15.44, but I haven't had a chance to try it. I have to admit I don't even know if I'd heard of maca before seeing it in the bonuses. Before I try it, I need to research to see how it works as it states it helps with energy levels, and sometimes these products are contraindicated for people who have adrenal fatigue. Also, since it is a root, and a starch, I'm thinking it will not be GAPS legal. I'm going to have my husband try it though.
